It is set in the heart of the Nottingham’s Lace Market in amongst atmospheric, industrial buildings. During the days of the British Empire, Nottingham was a world leader in lace manufacturing and the Lace Market area was the hub of the trade. Lace making has now dwindled, but the city remains full of impressive, 19th industrial architecture that were once warehouses and salerooms for the thriving lace trade.
